11km or just a 10-15 minute drive from our bed and breakfast kilkenny lies Goresbridge Horse Sales. It was founded in 1968 and has been a successful family-run business for over 40 years. Goresbridge is one of the worlds leading auction events for sporting horses.
If you are coming from the ferry or airport, or travelling to the sales from within Ireland, our bed and breakfast is an ideal base for the night before or after the sales. Also, if you have a transport truck or a horse-box, we have a private guest car park with enough room for you. | ||||

Goresbridge horse sales host 7 auctions of performance and sporting horses throughout the year. These sales usually start in February right through to December. Highlights from the year including the spring sale and autumn sale, featuring registered Connemara horses and Irish Draught horses. More recently, they have made great in-roads in the marketing and sales of thoroughbred horses, and were the first place in Ireland to host a ‘breeze up’ sale.
