Kilkenny Night-life
Kilkenny is famous for it’s lively friendly pubs and night life. Being a small city, with a lot of pubs, restaurants and clubs, it’s very easy to nip from place to place, or organise to meet friends at a great restaurant before going next door for a drink.

The night-life last rapidly expanded in recent years, with some fantastic new venues and pubs opened or renovated. If you’re coming in from abroad, or looking to get out of the city for a break, Kilkenny is a great location to spend a few days.

The atmosphere is ever-friendly, although many of the best spots can fill up early. Personally we love the food in the Marble City Bar, Cafe Sol or Zuni, the atmosphere in pubs like Caislean Ui Cuain, Matt the Millers or the Left Bank.
Cleeres or the Pumphouse on Parliament Street usually have some great live music, or continue on to O Faolain’s or Langton’s for a later night!
If you’ve had a few drinks, a taxi out to our kilkenny bed and breakfast will take at most 20 minutes and cost about €20 - €25.

The Omniplex cinema shows all the latest movies, with lots of parking close-by.
If you’re looking to stay closer to us here at the Bed and Breakfast, Thomastown has some great pubs for a quite pint, and the Long Man pub in Kilfane serves some great food too.
